Instead . . . Nyah accidentally dislocated Olivia's arm. Trying to pull her over the back of our big recliner. Usually when this happens I can gently twist the arm around until it pops back into place. No such luck. I tried it not-so-gently. No luck. I confess -- I started crying. Then pulled myself together, found a neighbor to watch my other kids, and hauled her off to the hospital once again. After x-rays to make sure it wasn't broken, the doctor had to not-gently-at-all twist and turn it until it finally popped back into place. At least I know how to do it next time.
And just because that couldn't possibly be the end of the day's trauma . . . Olivia and Jolie collided with each other and banged faces - Jolie's forehead vs. Olivia's eye.

oh Kelsey :( I am so sorry. Does he arm get dislocated often? Does it have to do with her condition (for got the name)?
No, it didn't have anything to do with her NF1 - it was just Nyah playing too rough. We've occasionally had kids slightly dislocate a bone at their elbows or wrists. My friend knows a fancy name for it - tennis elbow or nurse-something elbow - something like that where its not totally dislocated and can just be moved around until it goes back in place. I think Olivia's was really dislocated this time because it took so much more to get it in place. Her arm was a little sore for a day or so, but she's okay now.
