The picture doesn't look nearly as bad as the actual injury. Jolie bit her tongue very badly two days ago when she was falling with her hands full and hit her chin on the floor. She was gushing blood for about 5 minutes before it finally slowed, but it would start bleeding again any time she ate or had a drink. We went to the doctor's but they only put stitches into the tongue when it is hanging off. Do I really need to say how relieved I am that we didn't fall into that category? Not just because her tongue wasn't hanging off, but because its torture to get stitches into little kids. And we've never had to do the tongue before-- I was thinking sedation would have to be involved.
It has stopped hurting her, or I should say she doesn't cry out in pain when its time to eat or drink something now. There is a really huge bump on her tongue - we are wondering just how it will look when it is healed.

Trying to see in the water

Trying to stay close to his little band of ducklings somehow led Austin to fall into one of the ponds. He wasn't happy to hear he had to stay in his cold, wet clothes.
