Happy Halloween!

Around here trick-or-treating is on Saturday when Hallween falls on a Sunday, so we had a great Halloween Eve yesterday - hanging out, decorating, getting costumes ready, making chili.  It was a good, fairly calm day.

Pre-Halloween dressing up
Carving pumpkins - sadly this is the only picture I took and it was when Nyah was upset about the pumpkin faces she drew on her pumpkin, but oh well.
Sophie - Cheer Bear.  Isn't she adorable? Yeah . . . about 5 minutes after these pictures she had poo from her diaper to her armpits.  So that's how long her costume lastet.

Jolie - Sugar the black dog (after a new stuffed dog she has).

Olivia - Ginger the orange cat (after a new stuffed cat she has).  Can you tell we had trouble finding matching orange stuff? Good thing she doesn't care.

Nyah - Blue Fairy.  She says her favorite part was the real eye shadow.

 Austin - Grim Reaper.

 More cute pictures:

It was a rainy, stormy night so we didn't do much trick-or-treating, and we kept having to go back to the house for jackets and umbrellas or to drop off kids who were too cold.  Then we headed to a neighbor's house for their annual after-trick-or-treating party.  Lots of donuts, s'mores, cookies - just what the kids needed before heading home to sleep :).  I had a fabulous bowl of clam chowder.

Snow!

Imagine our surprise Monday morning when we woke up to find snow on the ground! I'm not ready for cold, but its here anyways so we pulled out the snow clothes and headed out.

Olivia and Jolie kept eating the snow and then throwing snow balls at me.

I don't know why this picture uploaded funny . . .

Sophie didn't want to be left out of the fun

Snowmen unite!

Its always interesting to see the pictures the kids take of me

Playing dress up with all the hats, gloves, and scarves

Jolie loved playing in the snow.  This could be a problem in the future when I want to stay curled up by the fire drinking hot cocoa and she wants to brave the outdoors.

Hello!

So the last few weeks have been pretty crazy! Jolie and Sophie are teething, AND Olivia, Jolie, and Sophie have a cold, which means I have been spending most of my time snuggling and consoling, and any "free time" (ha ha) I may have has been spent with Austin and Nyah, doing school or other activities.

Teething and sick kids also means I am not getting much sleep, so forgive my lack of cognitive abilities, and enjoy some pictures from the last week:

Barnyard Boo

Thanksgiving Point is doing their Halloween activities at Farm Country this month.  We headed down to check it out today.  Each of the kids got a punch pass to do 7 activities and they had a great time choosing what they wanted to do.
