Following the lead of my friend,
Katie, I helped Austin plan and prepare dinner one night this week. He wanted to make "volcano chicken" (named so because the first time I made it I used too much of the spices --chipotle pepper--and some of us couldn't handle it, oh, yeah, there were tears, but Austin loves spicy food, so now when we make it we tone it down), mexican rice, green beans, corn and salad. To be honest, it was stressful! Supervising Austin, with nursing Jolie, occuping Olivia, and Nyah whining about not getting to cook (her turn next week), and remembering to give Austin instructions so everthing would be ready about the same time was hard!! But it all worked out, and dinner was delicious!

The very best part was Austin pretending to be on a cooking show and relaying all my instructions to the studio audience!! He even told them about my baby when I had to "leave the show" to take care of Jolie. He kept reminding me I was his assistant, even though I was the one explaining to him how to do things, which he would then explain to the audience. It makes me laugh even now!
So this is something we are going to keep doing, stressful or not, just so I can be on tv again!
