View from our room - waking up to the sounds of the waves rolling was lovely :)
Someone spent a lot of time napping :) and she is now absolutely, unequivocably, totally, completely rejecting the pacifier. When she can she sucks on her fists, but otherwise very little drama. I guess life is manageable without them.
We were in Hawaii with a group from Kurt's work - some of them were pulled onstage during the Luau to Hula - glad it wasn't me!
Oh the food. Heavenly delicious yummy food. I put on a few pounds. It was all too good to resist.
Sophie was the most adored in our group - here she is with some of her babysitters.
The beach was, well, not so fabulous. All the rocks and wild waves and migrating jelly fish - we stuck to the lagoon and pool.
Here is a shot of the lagoon - basically a salt water swimming pool with sand. While Kurt was off doing meetings and activities Sophie and I spent a lot of time hanging out here.
I managed to convince Sophie she could nap on a beach chair so we (me really) didn't have to spend all our time in the room.
Luckily Kurt was able to hand out with us sometimes - we would take turns holding Sophie and swimming (or going down the water slide).
Sophie ended up with a bit of a sunburn so I tried used a hat as a shield the next couple days.
I did get a pedicure while I was there - imagine getting your toenails painted and NOT having kids to step on them and ruin them. Loved the hammocks :)
Walking around the resort.
Hawaii state bird - Nene Goose
Lagoon
Trying out the underwater feature on our camera.
Napping again :)
Beautiful scenery :)
We had lovely time, but it is wonderful to be home as a family again :)

I'm starting to feel jealous. My best friend here in Cedar just got back from Hawaii and my "second best friend" here is leaving for Hawaii next week! Meanwhile, I have spent the last week here literally shivering in my house! I'm glad you had fun. That would be a wonderful get away! And just one kid!
You are quite the photographer! Those pics look amazing! I'm so happy for you! Looks like you had a blast! ... and I'm jealous, too. ;)
