Family Trip

We recently took a weekend away, mostly to check on our house for sale, but also to get some rest and relaxation. We recently listed our house with another agent and hope things will go better this time around. We spent a morning cleaning up the yard and that ended up being more work than we had planned, but it looks much better.


Thankfully we didn't have to spend all our time working, as the pictures show. We spent an afternoon at the new park and water play area on Main Street. Our kids had a great time and it was nice for Kurt and I to dip our feet in the water too. Olivia was impressed with her swimsuit and being able to splash around with the big kids.

Its slowly warming up in our area and Austin and Nyah want to know when they can go swimming here (not for a while). We have been spending time here cleaning up our yard and planning our garden. Planting time is around Mother's Day (May 11) which is just before we will have Jolie (May 15), so hopefully we get things done before then.

Spring!?!?

I've misplaced my memory card reader--Actually, that's not true. I left it on a table and later found Olivia toting the cord around minus the reader, and haven't found it yet. Though, again to be honest, I haven't looked for it very seriously. So this picture is a few weeks old, but luckily Olivia ia always adorable. Today we actually had snow again! It melted as soon as the clouds passed, but its way weird having snow in April. After dinner tonight the kids and I webnt outside and after 15 minutes they were begging to come back in. Even though it was chilly I thought it was fairly nice out.

Our countdown to Jolie has begun--three weeks to my scheduled induction. We decided to do it this way again so my Mom could plan on being here with the older kids. With Michael reporting to the MTC on my due date (May 21) my Mom will have a busy couple of weeks and we are so grateful she can be with us for a couple days in the middle of it all.

Crazy Weather!!

Don't let the spring pictures fool you--we had snow today! We all went out and played this morning-snow balls, snowmen, and snow angels! Actually, Olivia only walked around for a few minutes before she wanted me to carry her so she and I watched Austin and Nyah play.

It was kind of funny to be calling the local gardening extension ofice with questions while there is snow everywhere, but I'm trying to get the yard taken care of before we have our baby. I'm planning a veggie/fruit garden and a flower/butterfly garden, but we'll see what really happens. I'm 34 weeks and ready for Jolie to come, but then I think about her being here and panic a little!
